Recorded Sunday Service Aug 23rd 2020 Hello Mount Royal Friends: We are pleased to share the fourth of five services made available through Region 14, Fundy, St Lawrence, Dawning Waters and a Camping Sunday resource prepared by the Rev. Catherine Stuart. These were offered to Communities of Faith to be used during the summer months. The Worship Committee of Mount Royal United Church recommended we use them in August when staff are on vacation. The Presider is Rev Roger Janes, Stewardship and Gifts Officer for the 3 Atlantic Regions of the United Church of Canada. The message of today's service is that there is no one outside God's circle of love and compassion; something so very important for us to remember as we try to love all God's people. We are a part of Region 14, and the website link is listed at the bottom of this email.
The Ad Hoc Committee on Re-Entry will be meeting in early September and making a recommendation to Council on next steps for Mount Royal. Whether we gather in person or virtually, Rev. Stuart has planned bible study and movie night discussion groups for the fall and we hope to offer a modified BLAST program beginning in October. Your ongoing encouragement and financial support during building closure has been very appreciated. Please continue your regular givings and, if you are able, make a special donation to the Systems Committee Capital Campaign. More than ever, maintaining our financial position is very important during these challenging times as expenses continue and we will have limited capability to fund raise again this fall.
