Recorded Sunday Service Aug 16th 2020 Hello Mount Royal Friends: We are pleased to share the third of five services made available through Region 14, Fundy, St Lawrence, Dawning Waters and a Camping Sunday resource prepared by the Rev. Catherine Stuart. These were offered to Communities of Faith to be used during the summer months. The Worship Committee of Mount Royal United Church recommended we use them in August when staff are on vacation. Rev. Janet Sollows, President of Region 15, presides over the service we have chosen to present today. Her reflection speaks of miracles and, in particular, Jesus walking on water and extending a hand to us in troubled times. We are a part of Region 14, and the website link is listed at the bottom of this email.
The Ad Hoc Committee on Re-Entry will be meeting in early September and making a recommendation to Council on next steps for Mount Royal. Whether we gather in person or virtually, Rev. Stuart has planned bible study and movie night discussion groups for the fall and we hope to offer a modified BLAST program beginning in October. Your ongoing encouragement and financial support during building closure has been very appreciated. Please continue your regular givings and, if you are able, make a special donation to the Systems Committee Capital Campaign. More than ever, maintaining our financial position is very important during these challenging times as expenses continue and we will have limited capability to fund raise again this fall.
